So, in the past month and a half I have -

- Become a certified CNA.

- Spent more time around my extended family than in all last year put together.

- Gone to Peru to see the first of my cousins get married.

- Drunk Pisco Sours for the first time.

- Walked through the catacombs of a monastery built in the 1600s.

- Eaten some incredibly good gelato.

- Gotten a list of contacts written up, and begun to send out resumes and schedule interviews.

- Caught a case of traveler's diarrhea and gotten stuck at the airport for half a day while American Airlines tried to get us on two different planes at once.

- Finished reading His Majesty's Dragon.

Bumps aside, it's been a pretty good start to 2010.

If you're looking for a way to do something about the Haiti earthquake, these are good places to start. ETA: help_haiti will apparently be taking additions until the 20th.

Congratulations on the qualification! (And good luck on the job hunting!)

You went to Peru - wow! How was it?

His Majesty's Dragon - so good! One of my favourite Yuletide fandoms, there's always good stories every year.

Thanks! Job hunting's been going slowly, but I think I've got a few options that are pretty much shoe-ins.

Very, very hot, especially after coming from 12 fahrenheit Tulsa. And the traffic was insane. But the food was delicious.

There's usually Temeraire fic at Yuletide? Now I almost regret not participating.

Fruitier than I thought it would be. But still very good.
