It's something like 96 degrees out there. And a heat index of 104. Rain, if you ever feel like coming back, please do. We could use the cooldown.

I have all the paperwork filled out and sent in at last (thank you, Prospective Employer, for using a program that isn't compatible with Macs for your hiring process. wth?). Now I just have to wait for them to schedule the two day physical, make sure I have all my documentation in order, and I'm good.

In spite of the heat, I went for a ride around the river bicycle path. Not that many people out today, but it was a lot of fun, even if I had to keep stopping to rest and hydrate every half-mile. They've been working on sections of it for a year now, but the repairs definitely paid off. It's a lot smoother than I remember, and the lanes are actually marked now instead of just being left to the user's discretion.

I must have missed this, but why does your job need a two-day physical?

Good luck with it, anyway, and with staying cool!

It's for a CNA position assisted living facility. So I understand why they'd want to make sure everything's on level. I just wish it didn't take quite so long.

Thanks for the good wishes. We should be getting some rain tomorrow, and for the next few days, so staying cool won't be quite as much of a problem.

Oh, so hot! *shivers in the delicious cold*

Good luck with the interview process - I hope it works out for you.
